Discover a hidden gem nestled in the stunning Cardrona Valley at Valley View Cafe. This charming cafe is not only a perfect pitstop for skiers but also a haven for anyone looking to rejuvenate with delicious food and breathtaking views. Located conveniently on Cardrona Valley Road, it offers a unique blend of convenience and scenic beauty, making it a must-visit destination.

Valley View Cafe captures the vibrant spirit of the Cardrona ski area, providing a delightful dining atmosphere filled with warmth and camaraderie. Whether you're starting your day of adventure on the slopes or winding down after an exhilarating ride, this cafe is an ideal spot to gather and relish the stunning surroundings.

The menu showcases a selection of satisfying snacks and meals that cater to both skiers and non-skiers. While specific dishes weren't provided, guests have praised the delicious toasted sandwiches, perfect for re-energizing before hitting the slopes again. Though some customers, like Jenny Howe, noted that these sandwiches are on the pricier side, the relaxing ambience and available water stations make the experience worthwhile. Others, like Magnus Brenchley, mentioned that their selection includes tasty paninis and comforting muffins. Pair your food with a rich cup of coffee or a refreshing juice, and you'll find a welcoming break from the cold.

But it's not just the food that deserves a spotlight here. Valley View Cafe is positioned ideally for the skiing crowd—a fact not lost on visitors. Ryan Lion emphasizes how it’s his favorite spot to kickstart and conclude his skiing day, highlighting the importance of checking conditions before heading up, as the café may close during inclement weather. And for those who value convenience, the ability to ski in and out, as noted by Neil Marshall, adds unmatched allure, especially when the mountain is fully accessible.

Furthermore, the cafe’s quiet charm, as experienced by Ellen Cadzow, allows for a serene coffee break amidst the hustle and bustle of the slopes, often quieter than other lifts. Imagine sipping a hot chocolate while taking in the majestic mountain views, surrounded by snow-capped peaks and the crisp alpine air—it’s a moment worth savoring.

In conclusion, Valley View Cafe offers more than just food; it serves a delightful experience that combines a spectacular location, friendly vibes, and the perfect intensifier for your mountain adventure. Whether fuelled by excitement before a thrilling downhill run or savoring the afterglow of a day spent exploring, make Valley View your go-to retreat in the heart of Cardrona’s skiing paradise.

The best car park when the whole mountain is open. Ski out, ski in. Still skiable 26 September.

If ya have your pass sorted before heading up the mountain this is definitely my favourite spot to start and finish my day of riding. Just check the conditions as it closes when it's too windy or when there isn't enough snow.

The toasted sandwiches were a bit pricey but I appreciate the water stop and the abundance of chairs. Beautiful spot to relax.

Valley View just opened afew days ago and there is a lot of ice on the run so be careful. There is a cafe called 'Little Meg' there is a pretty small selection of foods like paninis muffins. And on the drinks side there is soft drinks and coffee and juice.

Great spot to ski at and have a coffee break with a cool view. Toilets there too. Usually quieter than other lifts.
